Lucinda

Take a right about 9km north of Ingham and a further 18km East, you will reach Lucinda, a sleepy little town on the coast that nestles almost on the southern shore of the world's largest island National Park, Hinchinbrook Island. Lucinda also boasts the world's longest bulk sugar jetty. And that's not all. Where else can you see dugongs, dolphins, turtles and crocodiles all within a stones throw of land. Granted, you may have to take a boat, but that can be arranged if you don't have your own. The loooong jetty at Lucinda

One of the best things about Lucinda is that a family holiday can be just that. There is safe swimming with a stinger net installed, one of the best fishing jetties on the east coast, a vast expanse of sand flats that can be walked and explored, soft white sand to sunbathe on, and an excellent all weather 3- lane boat ramp, all in an area that boasts some of the best fishing in Australia.

This area of the Hinchinbrook Coast is fast becoming a popular holiday destination. Visitors flock to the area for a chance to walk the world famous Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island to see the diverse array of natural phenomena.Hinchinbrook Channel
